Now that I feel like it's no longer news like it was in the early days, I prefer to write about it. I don't intend to do like everyone else, who, when someone dies, puts a little ribbon on the page, uploads a photo, and says everything they loved you. I've never liked conventionality or staying superficial. I don't do things to please, I do them for myself. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here doing what I do.
People are the ones who change the world; rights don't progress alone; it's people who win those rights. Marcel, or as many know him, Tim Kruger, did more for our rights than many people realize. Our world is moving so fast, and we barely have time to look back. Although sex still carries a huge stigma in society, it was much stronger in the early 2000s than it is now. All those actors who have forged ahead amidst criticism and insults are the ones who leave us an easier path to follow, and Tim was one of them.
I've been telling some people for a while now that "porn actors" technically disappeared around 2015. There are no longer people dedicated exclusively to filming; now, everyone edits, manages their social media accounts, cameras, and sound. It's no longer strictly a porn actor; it's a creator of adult content, sometimes not even explicit or pornographic content, but erotic content.
With Tim's departure, I feel like a part of this story is disappearing too. There aren't many production companies run by an actor anymore. Most production companies today are run by people who haven't been actors. When a studio is owned by an actor, it shows. It shows in the details, in the meticulousness, in the actors chosen—things you only know when you've been the one pointed at by the camera lens.
I'll remember him fondly. The first time I worked with him was in April 2021. It seems unbelievable, but it's been four years. I returned to Barcelona at the beginning of January. I had spoken to him several times about working for his studio again, but circumstances and work hadn't allowed it. Finally, we did a new scene this year, 2025. It turned out so well that they published it that same day; we were all very happy with the result. He was swamped with work that week, but he asked me to do another scene. By moving other collaborations around, I managed to schedule it—again, another huge success.
I remember that day at his house in Barcelona before Brachalli arrived when we started talking about our lives. We'd both been involved in this world for a long time. It was nice to meet up, to share that precious moment with someone as mature as him.
When we finished, we drank a glass of wine. I told him I'd just launched my own wine. He couldn't believe it... My last WhatsApp message to him was me showing him the bottle of wine and telling him where Jumilla was on the map. Reality surpasses fiction. I'm sorry I couldn't share a bottle with you, but I'll keep toasting in your name.
